Download Kiki OS
Kiki OS is free and open source. It installs as a complete operating system, so you put it on a device (or a virtual machine) rather than running it as an app on your current OS.
Updates are atomic with automatic rollback. See the full download center and installation guide.
Which build do I want?
| Build | Best for | Architecture | Has a screen |
|---|---|---|---|
| Desktop | Laptops, PCs, and mini-PCs you'll use directly. | 64-bit (amd64) | Yes |
| Server | A VPS, home server, or always-on box running tasks headless. | 64-bit (amd64) | No |
| Edge | ARM single-board computers and embedded devices. | ARM64 | No |
Not sure? Desktop is the right choice for almost everyone trying Kiki on a normal computer.
Try it in a virtual machine
Want to look around before committing a machine? Run the Desktop image in a VM:
- macOS / Windows / Linux — use UTM, VirtualBox, or QEMU and boot the Desktop ISO.
- Give it at least 4 GB RAM and 2 CPUs.
The full steps are in Install Kiki OS → Try it in a VM.
Install it for real
Once you've downloaded an image:
- Write the Desktop ISO to a USB stick, or import the Server image into your hypervisor.
- Boot the target device from it.
- Follow the on-screen setup — connect to Wi-Fi, create your account, and meet Kiki.

Verify your download
Each release is published with checksums on the releases page. After downloading, compare the checksum to be sure the image wasn't corrupted or tampered with.
Stay updated
Once Kiki is installed, you don't download again to update — Kiki updates itself as one sealed image, with automatic rollback if anything goes wrong. Connect it to the cloud to get updates over the air across all your devices.
The complete experience
The OS is free and works on its own. Pair it with the cloud and the mobile app to watch and control your devices from anywhere.
